Privacy policy
How LyftData handles personal data
The full privacy policy published in the docs covers GDPR, CCPA, and Data Privacy Framework commitments. The highlights below provide the sections customers review most often.
Scope & data collected
LyftData collects contact details, account credentials, billing information, telemetry required to deliver the service, and content you submit through evaluation forms or community programs. Data from third-party services is governed by their respective privacy policies.
How data is used
- Provision accounts, licences, and access to community workspaces.
- Operate and improve LyftData services, including security monitoring and support.
- Send product communications when legally permitted; unsubscribe links are honoured.
Website analytics
LyftData operates self-hosted Umami analytics for this public site and the documentation site. It records pathname-only page views and limited browser, device, language, referrer, hostname, and coarse country data. Search parameters, URL fragments, form values, account identifiers, email addresses, download tokens, page contents, and free-form text are excluded. The tracker sets no analytics cookies, honours Do Not Track, and uses request IP information for coarse location and session grouping without retaining the raw IP address in the analytics record. Analytics and managed backups are retained for up to 395 days and are accessible only to authorised LyftData administrators. Email [email protected] to request access or deletion.
Your rights
- Request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data.
- Opt out of marketing communications at any time.
- Escalate concerns to privacy authorities; LyftData participates in the Data Privacy Framework.
